Children's Ministry
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Just like our adult church, our children’s
ministry at C@C wants to be a fun place that will lead each young person
into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I want to encourage you to take a closer look and
see the classes and activities you and your child can be involved in at
C@C.
Update March 2008
Like most of you, where has the year gone? The
teachers and volunteers are enjoying all of your children and can't wait
for the weather to break and get outside to see what God created. The
9:30 am classes will continue during Morning Church service.
With this wonderful new class comes awesome
opportunities for people to volunteer once a month with no preparation
time. You’ll be ministering to eager children and reap a harvest of smiles
and hugs every week. You’ll be helping children to foster growth in their
relationship with Christ. What could be more rewarding than that? I
recently read an article that asked “Why don’t we ask people to volunteer
for a missions trip to our children’s department?” When you think about
it, that’s how some people look at Children’s Ministry, a different
culture. I think they’re right. Children’s culture is vastly different
from ours. With kids living in broken homes, media bombarding them with
fast-food values, and school situations that may not be a safe harbor. You
might be the one who sees inside a child’s soul and changes that child’s
life forever. Be that missionary willing to venture upstairs into the
unknown land of Children’s Ministry and walk into unfamiliar cultures to
share Jesus’ love. God said “let the children come to me.” What will you
say when God asks, “Who will go to my children?” I pray that many of you
will respond with “Here I am! Send me upstairs!”

Teachers will use story books, bulletin boards,
and the Bible to teach toddlers about thankfulness, Abraham, Sarah and
Noah. We will reinforce the lessons with repetition, encouragement and
simple questions.
Kingdom Kids
Preschoolers will learn about creation, Jesus’
miracles and Zacchaeus. Teachers will utilize Bible discovery packs, big
books and learning mats to teach Bible truths in a creative and active
way.
Buds & Blooms
Teachers will start Fall 2007 concentrating on
the Old Testament. After the new year they will move onto the New
Testament with emphasis on Jesus and His walk on the earth, being a
friend, following Jesus and seeing His power.
Girls of Grace
PIONEER CLUB PATHFINDERS started this Fall. Boys
and girls continue to meet separately. We are using the Bible to teach
them to have faith, live a Biblical lifestyle and help the children
develop a sense of whole being and personal individuality. We collect
offerings and take prayer requests. In addition to that, each child gets a
workbook and a banner to leave in their classrooms. They refer to their
workbook each Sunday to accomplish Bible and Activity tasks. Each task
completed gets them closer to earning a particular Bible or Activity badge
which we will display on individual banners in the classroom. The Bible
Exploration time includes scripture study, application and memory verses.
Boys
Club Adventure
A Boys' journey
towards manhood begins with a time of exploration and wonder. Boys 2nd
through 5th grade join together as a 'Band of Brothers' discovering God's
love for them through his word as it relates to nature, science, and
history. We also explore different hobbies and occupations held by various
Church members. Leaders and 'Special Guests' incorporate Biblical themes
together with activities such as archery (missing the mark) and others to
illustrate how God's ways are evident in all aspects of our lives.
Relevant scripture memorization and application is a key focus.
