We have two Services on Sunday at 8:50 and 10am. On Saturday Nite we gather from 6:30 until 8pm. Our services are designed for maximum spiritual impact for everyone.  After both services we have time for coffee and fellowship.

How should I dress?

Comfortably!  Come casual or dress up a little.  People wear anything from shorts and jeans to dresses and sport coats, but you'll see very few ties!

Do I need to bring anything?

No.  If you want to bring a Bible, feel free to do so, although bibles are provided at each seat.  We project songs and message powerpoint slides on overhead screens in the Ministry Center.

Can I remain anonymous?

Absolutely! We realize that many people want to check out a church without calling attention to themselves.  However, you may want to fill out a Communication card and hand it in at the Welcome Center. You will receive a complimentary C@C mug and a gift certificate to The Village Smithy.

Do you ask for money?

We don't "pass the plate" during our weekend services. Instead, an offering box is placed in the lobby to receive these contributions, or you can mail a check or use your credit card through the church office.

While services vary from week to week, each service includes worship with singing, announcements, special music, a sermon, and prayer.  Other elements often include drama, video clips and visual art. The evening service is a different time, different feel, different music, same message, enhanced fellowship.

What is the music like?

Our music is contemporary and upbeat and we encourage each person to express to God what we feel from our hearts in a way that is most meaningful and comfortable for the individual. We combine a balance of old and new in a contemporary praise setting.  Led by a team of musicians, our services are a time of corporate, intimate communion with God.  The worship team includes vocalists, guitars, keyboard and drums.  The team draws from various styles of music to unite us in worship, celebration, and praise.

What does your church believe?

We believe that the Bible is uniquely God-inspired and without error.  We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute.  He then rose again, conquering death.  This allows eternal salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. You can read more about this at "Our Beliefs".

Where is your church going?

At Church @ Carbondale we have defined answers to the questions "why do we exist?” (our permanent Purpose), “what it will look like when we are complete” (our future Vision), “how we accomplish our purpose and reach our vision” (our present Mission).  For more on this please visit "Our Vision".
