"If It Needs Done, Do It!”… how we will maintain the Church property
Hopefully you have had the
opportunity to read the newsletter about this change in how we will maintain the
building. Basically, we are not going to staff a full-time maintenance person.
We will staff someone part time and then have monthly “Maintenance Mornings” to
handle major items. The first one is coming up June 6. (see the volunteer kiosk
and insert for more details). Other maintenance days for the summer will by July
11 and August 1. Our new slogan is, “If It Needs Done, Do It!”. This is an
opportunity for anybody in the church to serve quietly without a lot of
commitment . If something needs to be cleaned, go the janitors room or kitchen
to get what you need to do the task. We will leave safe cleaning supplies in the
bathroom and in key places so if you see a mess, just clean it up. The same is
true for outside. If you see a weed just pick it. If there is something that
comes to your attention and you don’t have the time or resources to get it done
than e-mail Melissa, at melissa@churchatcarbondale.com. Melissa will either get
you what you need to take care of the task or have it put on our work order so
that it can be done either by our maintenance crew or cleaning crew. Your
challenge is to step up and be on the team with the rest of the church to keep
these wonderful gifts that God has given us looking and working great sothat we
can make a greater impact on our community for God.

2009 newsletter, and read the new
