PRAYER MINISTRY
"The effective prayers of a righteous man can accomplish much" -
James 5:16
We take prayer very seriously at C@C. We believe God has given us prayer as a means of
communicating with him for ourselves and for others. We greatly value both your requests and your prayers.
Be encouraged and listen to this story by Lee Strobel on the Power of
Prayer.
C@C has a weekly
Prayer Team that meets at 10:45 - 11:30 am on Sunday morning.
We meet in the room
left of the stage the Ministry Center. The purpose and vision is two
fold:
-
To encourage more
participation from those of us who desire to pray for, and stand in
the gap for, others in the Church.
-
To encourage those who
desire corporate prayer for any reason to receive it (sometimes we
are more sensitive to these needs during Sunday mornings.) Come
expecting to see the Kingdom of God in action.
C@C also has a Prayer Chain for urgent prayer needs. You can reach this Prayer Chain by
calling Norma Barr at 963.8291 or the church office at 963.8773 or you may e-mail your prayer request to
church@sopris.net.
Norma shares these verses:
Col 1:9-12 NIV "For this reason, since the day we heart about you, we have not
stopped praying for you and asking god to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual
wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may
please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being
strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you have great endurance and patience,
and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in
the kingdom of light."
Eph. 1:17-19 and 3:16-19 NKJ "I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you
in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of
wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding (heart) being enlightened;
that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in
the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working
of His mighty power. I pray that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be
strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man. That Christ may dwell in your hearts through
faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is
the width and length and depth and height---to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may
be filled with all the fullness of God."
